Jelena Jandrić

Teaching Assistant, artistic field: acting. Jelena Jandrić was born in 1996 in Novi Sad, Serbia. She graduated in acting from the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka in 2020, in the class of professor Željko Mitrović. The same year she enrolled in master's studies in the class of professor Nenad Bojić, which she finished in 2022 with the thesis "Psychological analysis of female characters in Henrik Ibsen's plays (Hedda Gabler and Rebecca West)". Since 2022 she has been employed at the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka as a teaching assistant.  During her studies, she participated in student projects at the Academy of Arts, played in multiple student films and plays. At the youth center "Zdravo da ste" she led the "Theater for Children and Youth" workshop. She was hired for diverse radio and television commercials. She acted in the following plays: the musical "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee", "Family Stories", "No to Concrete, Yes to Education", "Pelican", online musical "The Threepenny Opera", "Hedda Gabler", "Rosmersholm", and the choreodrama "Unconquered Threads" at the National theater of Republic of Srpska in the role of Arachne (2022). In addition to that, she played roles in the TV series "Bones" and "Hotel Balkan", as well as in the film "When You Forget July", which in 2022 won the first prize in the Best foreign film category at the International student film festival „Early Bird" in Sofia, Bulgaria, the first prize in the Best student film category at the "1st Monthly Film Festival" in Belgrade, Serbia, followed by a win in the best European short film category at the "Seviff Indie Film Festival" in Seville, Spain, and a special prize in the Best short drama film category at the "Halicarnassus Film Festival“ in Bodrum, Turkey.
