Sonja Đurić

Artistic / scientific field: Production and Management of the Arts
Sonja Đurić was born on July 20th 1994 in Banja Luka. She graduated Production at the Academy of Arts, University of Banja Luka, as the student with the highest academic standing among the graduating class. During her bachelor studies, she worked as a student demonstrator at the Film and Theatre Theory and History Department and received scholarships from the Ministry of Education and Culture of Republic of Srpska, as well as the City of Banja Luka. In 2020 she started her Management of Culture and Media master studies at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade.
Since 2021, she has been working as a teaching assistant at the Academy of Arts, University of Banja Luka, at the Production Department, where she teaches Theatre and Radio Production, as well as Management of the Arts. She is the producer of Pozorišni akademski festival - PAF (Academic Theatre Festival).
She worked as a producer and organizer of many cultural events, festivals, concerts, theatre plays, conferences, formal events, educational workshops and various audio-visual projects, as well as project manager and co-ordinator of many regional projects in the fields of art and culture. Some of those are: Pozorišni akademski festival - PAF (Academic Theatre Festival), Escape - contemporary music composer David Mastikosa’s debut album, Film Forum Banja Luka, CreArt - creative industries conference, “Filming the Other” project, Children’s Land festival, “Meet my Dad” theatre play etc.
While participating in various seminars, conferences, lectures and workshops, she is continuously working on broadening her knowledge and skills. On numerous occasions, she was a member of theatre and music festival juries and a member of selection committees for projects in the field of performing arts. She is an alumna of European MOST Music Management Training Program for young managers of arts and culture, “National Theatre School” organized by Alexandrinsky Theatre, as well as “Female Mentorship Network” Program.
In 2019, she founded the Association for the Promotion of Culture and Arts, called CreArt, where she has the role of the President of the Assembly. She is a member of the Association of Authors and Musical Composers of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since 2022, she has been a member of the Center for Visual Arts.
