Inter/Akcija is a project of cooperation, dialogue and exchange on ideas and issues of contemporary art that has been continuously implemented by students of the Faculty of Fine Arts and the Department of Art History of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Belgrade since 2016. The dialogic form of the project is becoming more complex this year and is realized as a conversation, which is joined by colleagues from the Academy of Arts in Banja Luka with the support of the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska. The central part of the Inter/Action program is an exhibition that develops from the joint engagement of young professionals in the world of contemporary art who, applying the acquired knowledge, make the first public steps in the articulation of opinions, attitudes and views on art in an exhibition format.
Inter/Akcija brings together the artistic positions of students of the Faculty of Fine Arts from Belgrade and the Academy of Arts from Banja Luka, which range from subjective, intimate views of the complex conditions of modernity to consideration of its widely understood social frameworks. Expressing themselves through various techniques and media, young artists express their visions of the present, its different forms, phenomena and tendencies. Inter/Akcija reveals in a fresh way a cross-section of current movements characteristic of the youngest generation of artists who are actively researching in the fields of formal, emergent, verbal and visual; juxtaposes diverse identities of new artists and new curators, and transforms their joint imagination into an exhibition conversation.
